14089496 is the first edition Combination valve of the 1LE 4-wheel disc "performance package brakes" cars.
It fits the 1984or 85(?) - 1989 1/2 year cars. The same 1LE combo valve is used in the later 1989 1/2- 1992 cars but has a different finer thread pitch and a different part #, But the bais on the pre-89 1/2 and post-89 1/2 Combo valves are idential internally. This is the best valve to use even with the 10.5" non- performance package 4 wheel disc cars.

question for RTFC
Trying to put a rear end (actually already put) rom a 91 Formula with the J65 brakes on my '88 Camaro. Thje brake hardlines do not attach to the caliper...in that they will not seat since there is nothing for them to seat in.
What do I need to attach the calipers to my hardlines.

You can not attach a hardline to a floating caliper. GM actually did that with several loops in the hardline to the drivers rear only caliper on the smaller Delco-moraine caliper 10.5" factory rear disc setups. Yes just the drivers side on the rear. The passenger side had a rubber brake line from the hardlline to the caliper like they should. The drivers side is notorious for not releasing as well as the otherside due to lack of movement freedom with the hardline mount.
EdMiller should be able to give you more info on the fitting size of the PBR rear caliper you are showing and what part #'s are required to get it fitted properly. My setup is completely aftermarket and custom, but here's what I have

There is a small rubber flex line that attaches to the caliper with a banjo bolt and two small copper washers. There should also be a small bracket on the rear that the other end of the line fits into with a U-clip (like the front brakes) and the hardline runs into that. I would see if you can find someone close by with the same setup to look at, or maybe someone on the forum can post picture. I would also consider getting braided stainless lines if you have none now.

So where can I contact EdMiller??
Did a search of forum and no EdMiller pops up.....
Talked to Chevy house yesterday about parts I needed (He said I needed the rubber hose setup already mentioned) and he is trying to locate the hose, banjo valve, crush washers, etc. He said the hardline to rubber hose adapter is discontinued....

OK...so basically I can get what I need from finelinesinc.com
BUT do they have the adapter/mounting plate where the hardline connects to the flex line to hold it all in place?
Piece that mounts on the axle to stabilize that junction?????
They are discontinued/not avail from GM
BTW sent EbMiier88 a PM ...waiting for a repsonse

Keep reading the above until you reach brackets--I think that's what you're describing anyway

Gumby,
I've got a disc/drum pro valve from an 88. If you're interested, PM me.

Geese oh petes, you can't just buy new o-rings and seals somewhere? Even if not in a kit, by the indivdual part. Anyone got a microfish of a prop valve and part numbers? That is all that wears out. Knowing GM many year used the same internal parts. Maybe configed different but GM likes to parts bin things.
Good used parts can fetch 1/4 of retail price and even then you are taking a risk that it will not break till after you get it. Or do $20 you pull it crap shot.
Though maybe on a $20 u pull I could take the prop valves apart before I buy. Need a diagram for one though.
