ebmiller88s Wilwood Setup
Nice setup.
Word of caution in advance, be prepeared to turn your rotors after about every other or every third AutoX event running the EBC greenstuff pads. They are notorious for pad buildup on the rotor surface and giving that warped rotor/pulsing pedal feeling.
I am sh*t canning mine real soon and going to try some Hawks HPS or some Porterfeild custom ordered compounds for street use on my calipers. I don't have alsot of options with the SL-6 calipers, but I am not going to use EBC's anymore. 2nd application I have tried them and the same results both times.

Dean what pads do the SL-6's use? I know coleman has a ton of diffrent compounds, and brands for most of the aftermarket and race caliper pad sizes.

Set 34s come like that, Set 3 (for 1LE rotors, etc.) are steel. I know SKF bearings are all steel so you may go with that one.

heres the run down
Hubs and brackets by ed (with arp studs) $185
Calipers $115x2
Rotors $67.79x2
Pads $65
Earls Hoses $13x2
90* Fitting for caliper $6.75x2
Line Fittings $5.16x2
$665.40, i also had ed mod the spindles, but that was over a year ago when i did the ls1s and dont recall what that cost
ed, what part number are the studs? i need to get the knurl diameter and i dont have my dial caliper at home. the holes in the rotor are too small

CRAP! I forgot to tell you that. The knurl diameter on those studs is .568" so it'll be more than that:
9/16" = .5625"
37/64" = .578"
19/32" = .593"
39/64" = .609"
5/8" =.625"
...can't recall the PN right now but it's a LONG knurl too, long enough to come thru the hub face a bit. I'd go about .593" and see how that goes.

Did I get back to you on these? If not, LMK...

Eds Wilwwod calipers pictured above in his kit are the FSL (Forged Superlites) that are 4 pistons, not the SL-6 . I have the SL-6 on the setup I built. The SL-6 (6 piston) wilwood calipers are a radial mount (which means they can be shimmed diameter wise as well as offset wise. The GM C6 calipers have 6 separate mini pads that fgit inside the caliper to help prevent pad taper cmmon on forged calipers and the design helps prevent caliper spread. The C6 however are heavier than SL-6 and the SL-6 is stronger being billet with support bolts for anti spead & quickchange pads. The C^ is a great factory caliper for semi-mass production manufacturing, but still does not compare to good old machined billet calipers that are more expensive to make and stronger.
All are pretty much overkill for your average street only car that will not see high brake temps under track conditions

2 questions...
How does the FSL caliper compare to the C5 Z06 caliper.
Does the FSL caliper come with it's own bracket or would I use a C5 bracket?
Thx

the fsl caliper is 4 piston, 1.75 each, fixed caliper, it mounts right to the bracket that mounts to the spindle
the c5 is a 2 pistons, floating caliper, it uses a carrier that mounts to the bracket
