Brake problem

I don't know what is wrong with my brakes, but the front passenger side brake seems like they are not letting off the rotor. The rotor and pads are fairly new and are correct for the car. When I get out of my car after only driving down the street, I get out and smell a weird smell coming from the wheel well. I look at my passenger wheel and smoke is coming out and my rim is pipin hot. I don't know what the problem is. I think the caliper is shot because it must not be letting off the rotor. Has anyone experienced this too? I heard there is a quick fix to this, but I forgot what someone told me on here before. That was before the problem with the search feature so I cannot look up my old post. I worry my car will catch fire if I use it until I get the time to fix it, but I wonder what the problem is exactly.

Do you mean the short, flexible on to the caliper, or different one?

Cool, thanks. I went to the store, they have reman. calipers for $9 a piece, plus $10 for the hose. I'm gonna replace those two and see if that fixes it. Thanks

yes, this is your caliper sticking. Definitly replace both fronts, and you should be good to go

I did replace the front passenger caliper today, test drove it, and it seemed fine. Although the next drive I took, which was only a few blocks away, it did the same thing again. It got hot as hell and smoke billowed out of the wheel well. I don't know what the deal is. My brake pedal is hard to push in, and it takes while for it to push in and pull out to normal again.

No, just calipers. I looked at the hose and it is attached in matter I'm unfamiliar with. I don't have suffiecient tools with me now currently to take those off, but I will get some here this weekend. But would the hoses be the problem? You know what, when I took off my caliper, and disconnected the hose to the caliper, barely a drop of fluid came out. So I wonder if it is the hose. Do you think?

The hose may be collapsing/have collapsed.

How did you get the hose off? What tools do you need?
