You don't have to remove the parking brake cable. No sense in doing extra unnecessary work. That's just crazy talk.
Do one side at a time. Just take a big screwdriver or a tire tool or something, and pry the caliper toward the outside of the car, to push the piston back into it as far as it will go. Then take out the bolts, lift the caliper off the rotor, swap the pads, and put it back. If you don't have the piston pushed back in far enough, the new pads won't fit over the rotor; you might have to use a big C-clamp or something similar, to push it all the way back in. If you go REAL SLOW, and stop for 2 cold ones per side, the whole job MIGHT take 10 minutes. That's only if you're a slow drinker.
DO NOT, AT ANY TIME OR FOR ANY REASON, allow the caliper to hang from the rubber hose!!!! Make sure it's supported by something else so you don't destroy the hose.

I was nervous my first time taking apart the rear PBR's on my 91 rear.
Its really easy though. Take the 2 bolts off that hold the caliper to the axle, pull the caliper off. The 2 pads will pop right out. Its pretty self explanatory once you look at them. They are spring loaded to hold them in place, just make sure you get that back into the right position and push em back in.
Like sofa said, it shouldnt take more than 10 minutes and that includes the time to take the wheel off.
No need to take the ebrake cable off to change pads.

No, you don't have to remove the parking brake. Forget about that. Put it out of your mind.
I think the bolts are 15mm. I usually use an impact socket and a short exptension and a ratchet.
