lt1 master cylinder
i picked up a 95 camaro z28 brake master cylinder which i planned on putting in my third gen mainly because it looks alot better than the stock 3rdgen unit. The difference between the two is that the line output to the prop. valve for the rear brakes is a bit smaller. Does anyone have any experience with this or do you think the difference in the hole size will restrict pressure/flow. I have rear disc brakes.

Re: lt1 master cylinder
not sure, but usually the 4th gen masters people use, my self included, are from the ls1 cars since the threads are the same as the 3rd gens cars. Dont think the smaller line will hurt performance at all since it did work for the lt1 cars just fine.

Re: lt1 master cylinder
i guess i will just have to go to the parts store and hope they have a brake line with an end for the porportioning valve and one for the master cylinder with the right size/threads

Re: lt1 master cylinder
It would probably just be easier to get a master cylinder for an ls1 car wouldn't it? (Just my opinion...)
You could probably take your lt1 master in to someplace like autozone, and trade it as a core for a re-man ls1 master cylinder *cough* They don't tend to check those things very closely at the parts counter. But you didn't hear that from me, lol

Re: lt1 master cylinder
When I put LT1 masters on both my cars I used the stock rear line (front line on master) cut it, and used the tubing nut off the LT1 line and made a new bubble flare and was set. Worked perfectly for me both times.
Usually you can rent the flaring tool from a parts store.

Re: lt1 master cylinder
Take a look at a late model C6 Corvette looking MC that works perfectly in these G-body and F-Body systems – same brake line sizes / thread pitches / port locations so that you can plug n play without hassles!
