brake booster rubber line?
I need to get some new rubber brake booster line... no part stores seem to know what is used. I think heater hose will collapse. so idk what to get.
took me a few weeks to find the new brake booster check valve too.
what do you guys use?

Re: brake booster rubber line?
a piece of the push-lok style hose would work if all else fails
something like this

not sure if 8an is the right size, but if it is, i have a ton of it laying around...
i actually have a piece of heavy rubber radiant floor heat hose on my 86..., because its the right size and i have a ton of it...

Re: brake booster rubber line?
hmmm that works. i remember that the stock line was a hard rubber line and didnt use any clamps. too bad its sold in 10ft rolls as a minimum lol. -8an doesnt seem like the right size... looking at the boost check valve it almost looks like -6 or 3/8" line. However the stock line i remember being pretty thick hose like an -8an. This needs to hook to the carb on the underside base plate which has a large vacume nipple.

Re: brake booster rubber line?
It's a complete no-brainer.
All the factory used, is 3/8" fuel line. Printed right on it. The same is entirely adequate to go back with.

Re: brake booster rubber line?
which type of fuel line? fuel injection or carb fuel line? I have a bunch of carb rubber line (rated to 50psi) however it seems soft like it would collapse under vacuum.
I checked the DIA of the brake booster check valve and the hose barb on the base of the carb and they are .390" and .360"... so its 3/8" line.

Re: brake booster rubber line?
The factory used regular fuel line for decades before FI hose became available.
So I'd say, regular would be fine. Always has been. But the other would be OK too if you prefer.
