Re: 12 Bolt Brake Question
if you have the axle setup for 4th gen (98-02) rear discs, that will allow you the most options. And the stock 98-02 discs are pretty good by themselves.

Re: 12 Bolt Brake Question
I've just bolted my 12 bolt moser up to the car too, I'm going with ls1 rears with d/s rotors. I agree with 86ta, they're pretty good. I'm doing a 14" c6 z06 front soon too. Should Be a pretty decent setup. Ls1 would probably be your best option. Easier and cheaper. Wilwood makes a decent rear kit too if you have the ls style of course.

Will the 98-02 bolt in just like the 93-97? I was unaware they were different.

Re: 12 Bolt Brake Question
The rear end itself is no different on how they bolt up to the car. Rears from 82-02 are all interchangeable (correct me if I'm wrong)
The only difference should be when it comes to brakes. I have mine to accept ls style brakes. You could get a rear that is made for lt brakes as well. Backing plates are different, and I believe the ebrake setup is different. Again, correct me if I'm wrong... Lol.

How far along are you on your t56 swap? I have a brand new crossmember I didn't use from spohn. Went with hawks crossmember to allow more room for an exhaust. Bunch of spare parts left over

Re: 12 Bolt Brake Question
I had the whole swap and sold it cause I quit my job and ran into a money problem. Once I sell my 4th gen ill be ready. Pm me about your parts
As far as rearend goes I'm running drum Rears now. Wanting to have a baer kit in rear so ill go with the ls style moser 12 bolt for more brake options. Now how hard will going from drums to disc's be?

Re: 12 Bolt Brake Question
if you order the 12 bolt, setup for the 98-02 disc brakes, (you can get it in the 3rd or 4th gen axle width FYI), its a bolt in deal. The backing plates bolt to the axle housing. You need custon parking brake cables, Hawks and Flynbys have them. And you need brakes lines for the rear axle. If you get a 4th gen width axle, you can use factory 4th gen lines. If you use the 3rd gen width, you have to modify what you have, or make your own lines to connect to the flex lines.
its really not hard.

Re: 12 Bolt Brake Question
Awesome, I'm not worried about being hard. I was just told the brake lines will be the same. On some applications

Re: 12 Bolt Brake Question
I'd look into the ls1 rear brakes. Not as expensive and at least you can drive it. Those brakes should hold up fine unless youre planning on drag/trackin the the car. I'll send you a list of leftover parts as soon as I get off work and sort through what you could use. I'm not sure what I have left.
