wierd nut size on rear brake lines

R u guys ready for this? I'm finally ready to get my 86 bird (2.8L v-6) back on the road, so I tried to bleed the brakes (disc front, drum rear), starting with the right rear like the Firebird Shop Manual suggests. Since i wasn't having luck with the vacuum one-man bleeder kit I bought, I got in and pumped the brake pedal a few times to get the fluid started. The brake line on the left rear side (mounted on the axle) blew open. I tried to take the line off but, are you guyz ready, an 11mm fitting wrench, aka flare nut wrench, doesn't fit and a 12mm open end is too big! 7/16" is too small and 1/2" is too big. How the heck can I get this thing off? Anyone got any ideas? Anyone have this problem? Anyone know what the real size of these *#@!&* nuts are supposed to be? PLEEEEZ HELP!!! Anyone?

Re: wierd nut size on rear brake lines

its metric, and rust build up may have made its a little larger. clean it up, sand it if you have too and you should be able to get the 11mm wrench on.

Thanx for the advice. I have a friend of a friend who is an an ex professional ( his company decide it was time for him to retire ) coming by tomorrow and I'll suggest that to him. Sounds logical, hopefully it'll work.
