LS1 brakes from Big Brake Upgrade
My new LS1 brakes recently arrived from Scott at http://www.bigbrakeupgrade.com
I took the option for drilled and slotted disks. Didn't get the powder coating because I'm pretty fussy and wanted the callipers to match other under car colored parts.
I've got to say Scott Degeer is great to deal with. He always replied to emails promptly and was pleasant to deal with. Nothing new here, others on this board have said this before.
All parts were new, except the spindles which had been cleaned and painted black. I could have done it cheaper by myself, but there is no way I could get such a well-finished job so easily.
I'll post pictures of the installation progress here, so expect a picture-heavy thread.
At the same time I'll install a new set of Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings and a new set of Eibach Proline 1" lowering springs. If I was just replacing the spindles and brakes I think two people could do it in a couple of hours, but I want to do the lot together while I have some of it apart.

The packaging the brakes came in was very sturdy and typical of the standard of Scott.
I had them shipped to Australia and they were in perfect condition.

The new LS1 brakes are so good looking it's a pity to put them on the car where they will get dirty.

Here's a comparison of the old and new front disk brakes.
Also a pic of the old springs and the new Eibach Proline replacement.
I'm replacing all rubber bushings with Energy Suspension polyurethane units. Here is a picture of the ES transmission mount, which is heaps better than the original factory unit.

Looks good! You're going to love the LS1 fronts. It's one of the best mods I've done to my car.

Re: LS1 brakes from Big Brake Upgrade
@JamesC - I read posts about the ES transmission mount before I bought it. My understanding is that ES have since revised the mount and that the new version is ok.
I couldn't compare it with the old one, because the old one was totally destroyed.
The ES torque arm and transmission mounts do seem smarter designs than the original ones.
I have a heap of BMR Suspension parts, including rear lower tubular control arms, wonder bar, sub-frame connectors and strut tower braces. I go the IROC sway bars and torque arm powder coated the same color to match.
In this picture I have disassembled the LS1 callipers to get them powder coated the matching red too.
This forum is a very expensive place to hang out. There is always one more cool thing you see here to do to eat up any spare cash.
@JamesC, I can't provide a link. It's something I was told by the local distributor when I bought the ES mounts. My understanding is that the ES P/N has changed for transmission mounts to reflect the change. The ES P/N I got was 3.1142 and it looks different to the one in pictures on the thread you posted.

Re: LS1 brakes from Big Brake Upgrade
Looks more to me like people blaming lazyness and worn out engine mounts for a transmission mount, or the ES being a harder material.
.006" is not going to do something like that, epsecially right where its at.
OP: awesome brakes.

Looks great Peter, what'd that lot set you back?
I've had an ES tranny mount since 2003, no issues. What's supposed to be the problem with them?

Guess I got lucky then; I'm just happy it doesn't break every 6 months like the rubber ones did
