Whats the best way to remove a Proportion valve?

I really want to get this thing out to properly clean it up and get it working correctly, I have tried the hammer/tap test, it's no go, already replaced the master cylinder, but I only get periodic pressure for a minute or two , then it let's off!

I already called around and non of the auto where house's sell it anymore, which means having to order one via GM or Summit racing.

any advice will be greatly appreciated*

You can replace the spring inside the prop valve with a grainger spring. Many members have done it with great results.

Well, I have to see what is next and if I cannot find that part, I might just order a new one from Summit*

Try calling Grainger. They may know just what specific spring you need. Here is a link: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/ecatalog/N-/Ntt-spring

How to remove it?

Unscrew the lines and remove it.

Replace the spring, put it back in and bleed the system.

I tried all that , the bottom bolts will not give and I am afraid of tearing a line or two, so I will look into replacing the forward spring and have the brakes bled all the way around for good measure
