wait...you don't wanna pay extreme money...though you bought over $1k in subwoofers...without box, installation, power, and amplifiers?

it's most likely impossible to blow your hatch off....what you need to do that is either a bomb or sub vibrations strong enough to shatter glass....2 W7s won't do that...probably won't even come far from doing that...

no way you're gonna even harm the glass. our cars are not SPL cars; one of the biggest places the air will escape is around the driver and passenger door windows. and why do i think you're lying? that sounded like one of the dumbest posts i've ever read. those speakers are also over priced. brahma's in the same league and is around half the cost. and if you're gonna skimp on everything else, why'd you buy the subs in the first place. i'm done.

nah. The w7 are nice, do pound, and are clean. But they are not worth the $$. Brahmas are less and will out pound w7s. If the w7 were about 100-150 less, they would be the best sub out there.

Well, I'll be the one person to agree with you on your choice of subs. I love those new w7's! Did you get the 10, 12, or 13's? I'm planning on putting 4- 12w7's or 13w7's in my 91 rs. These subs pound and they are clean. Yes they require a lot of power, but look at the rms rating not the peak. The Jl audio 1000 amp is plenty enough power to bump these subs hard. As for blowing your hatch, I've seen quite a few systems flex the back glass, but have yet to see one blow. If you manage to do it, let me know. I got my last hatch at a great price and I am actually looking to try and blow a hatch with my set up of 4- w7's just to see if it can be done. So if you beat me to it, I wanna see some pics

nobody is saying the w7s arent spectacular subs. the point is, they are too expensive. you can get a brahma, which will perform as well--most would say better--than the w7 for a cheaper price. and there is absolutely no way you are going to blow your hatch with 4 w7s.

Man who's got your panties in a bunch! Don't be so hard on people, and you may be able to keep some friends in life. But with a begining comment like that ..WOW you have issues. Grow up a little man! And then come back and make a resonable effort to answer the question with some dignity.

Now as for the question at hand..I really doubt you will come close to damageing anything in your car. A friend and I hooked up 1 .15" Orion sub and 4 .10" JL audio subs with a 1000 watt USA amp down to 1 ohm in a little dodge Colt. It never hurt anything till we shut it off and turned it back on later. Whe the amps kicked in the dang back window just bursted into thousand of little pieces. Go for it, you shouldn't have any problems at all. Oh and I'm not lying Mr. CAMp3RO got my panites in a bunch!

i usually dont come off like that. bad day. and my point was that you're shooting yourself in the foot if you spend the bills on the subs and skimp on the amp. its like buying a corvette and dropping a 4-cyl engine in it. I would have saved a few bucks and bought brahmas instead. then bought a jbl 1200.1 or comperable amp. i was probably mostly irked by the "dub7" "hypest" comments. reminded me too much of a HS r*cer. like i said, my responses usually arent of that nature if you have read anything by me in the past. just one of those days.

kicker is good, but exactly what is better about them then JL? i dont know if they have anything in their line up that can compare to the Adire Brahma or W7. not putting them down at all. they have some good SPL stuff, but not known especially for their SQ.

I would take JL over Kicker, unless we are talking about the L7s. Dollar for dollar L7s anyday! But JLs are much cleaner, but IMO the L7s are clean enough

For the price, L7s are tough to beat, and they mob up on the competetion at the USACi World Championships. Yet another title this year. JL is a damned good sub. All in all, its just bass here anyway. Long as you got some, your music is all that much better.
