what guage wire are you rinning? what hu? do you have good conections to the positive and ground? With a 1600w amp you should run atleast 4 gauage. 0 gauage wouldd be better.

Have you tried switching the connectors on the subs, you may have one wired backwards. Just something to check

That would only put one sub out of phase with the other, it wouldn't prevent the system from running.

Have you checked your electrical system with a multimeter? Make sure your getting 12v with it off and around 13.8 with it running. Then check it at the amp, just measure between the 12v and ground contacts on the amp. Have you upgraded any of your factory battery wires? A regular multimeter probably won't be able to measure the power draw of your amp since most max out at 10 amps. But if you can get access to a proffesional one, you can see if your amp is not drawing enough power to operate at peak efficency. If it's not then you have a wiring issue somewhere that's restricting flow.

I would just email them and tell them that you just installed it and it went out and you think it's defective. Tell them you'll leave more good feedback for them if they change it. If not, post feedback that they're selling unwarrantied defective goods and to buy from them. You can also threat to contact ebay and file a complaint against them for selling bad merchandise. I've found in the past that if you threaten action against ebay sellers that will hurt their business or prevent them from selling, they become much more cooperative. Good luck on getting a new one.
