6x9 versus components in the rear

I am curious about which would have better sound staging 6x9 or components in the middle of the car. I have 4x6 onfront in the dash and 2 12'' subs in the rear hatch. In the future I would love componets by the kick panels.

vs nothing in the sails

if you really want good staging and would love kick panels in the future, don't get anything for the sails. Save the money for those kicks.

If you really insist on the other options, go with components.

you're not really gonna get it toward the middle, just becuase you have speakers pointing in all sorts of different directions. the rear speakers barely even angle forward, more like right at each other. you wont be able to tell a difference stage-wise whether you have 6x9s or comps. stick with 6x9s, they're cheaper

6x9's are stupid. dont waste your money on them. get some sexy *** 4x6's up top in your dash and than some really nice components for your kick panels. if you want to waste your money, i got some 6x9's sitting here i dont use, their good ones too

if you're gonna say 6x9s are stupid, i'm gonna have to knock back that having kicks and dash speakers is pretty pointless too. soundstage is going all sorts of places, and 4x6s arent good for anything but upper midrange and highs. i use 6 1/2" coax in the back, but only for rear passengers.

as for you knocking our dash speakers and kicks - you may be right, they do suck *****. well, maybe not mine or anyone else's who enjoys listening to music, but i cant say nothing for your salvation army speakers, i have yet to hear them. id rather have no speakers in the sails instead of 6x9's. with the steap winsheild in our cars, it deflets noise perfectly toward us, spend your money where it counts.

Right, 6.5 + Tweeter in kickpanels, 7" or 8" midbass driver in the doors. Subs in the rear, 75W going to midbasses, 150W going to components. subs are whatever you want.
screw the 4x6s, screw the rear-fill.
