need more boom.
need more boom.
i got 2 10 inch 225 watt subs. i got a max 140 wat amp. that stuff is currently whats hooked up. when i am listenening to them, it doesnt matter if the subs are off or on, no difference in sound.
i have a 240 amp i could hook up( would that make them better?
Also the subs areen't in any kind of a box. will that help when they are. How about "boom tubes" how are they made?

Um, something's not hooked up or installed properly.
Can you get more specific on the audio components?

Oh, nevermind.... just saw this:
Your subs HAVE to be in a box. HAVE to. That's why you don't hear anything.
edit: You need to seperate the sub's forward waves from the sub's rear waves.

Going along with that, how are the subs now? I'm hoping they're just not flopping around in the rear seats.
Are they on a plate board over the hatch well? If so, one sub might have it's wires reversed. This will do what FyreLance said, too- one sub will cancel out the other, because one sub's forward wave is getting nixed by the other sub's rear wave.

well i have experience with the jensen subs, IMO they rocked when i had the dual 10's in a bandpass box with a alpine v12...forget thte wattage maybe 700 W? Anyhow i, i know others will disagree, say get them in a box and fire it up...jensens still pound. But yes you do need them in a box as everyone stated. The amp is a tad small, just replace the amp, the subs are fine.

If your subs arent mounted or are not in a box, you will get zero sound from them... I mean zero sound.
Having the subs in free air (no box) is hard as hell on them. Not only will they not sound right, its possible you could blow them.
A sub box is the most important part of the whole setup. You could have a 1000 watt amp, but if you dont have a box, or a decent box you wont get decent sound.
Case in point my 400 watt amp was hooked up to my two kenwoods in small truck type speaker boxes, they souinded ok, but had no real deep bass to them.
I sold that amp, and removed the speakers. When I went to put the speakers back In i made a custom box with a lot more air space. I only had my fosgate 120 watt amp laying around.. It made more bass, and much deeper with less RMS watts to it, just becuause of the size of the box...
So I would figure that no box would be even worse
