how exactly did you pull that number with that equipment? It must not have been a legal score (was the mic on the dash)? What kind of mic was it?

I hit 141.1 with a pair of Oz 12" subs (they are SQ subs, not SPL subs) with the mic placed in accordance with IASCA rules. Mic placement makes an ENORMOUS difference on SPL, so if the mic was anywhere except where IASCA puts it, the numbers are impossible to compare.

I also got that number without tweaking my system for SPL. I measured it how I keep it day to day. This was before the whole "burping" thing came about too. I sustained that SPL for 15 seconds.

The best I done was a 146.9 with 2-12" DVC Pioneer and a 1100 watt Ample Audio amp.

THey put the mic just behind the dash about right above the shifter. I didnt know about where it was supposed to be till i got home and posted about it. So its probaly a little lower but the car did hit right its as much how the box is built as it is the equiptment just got some gear for the camaro now 900 watts

ya the new termpros are down like 6 db from last year...what setup are you planning on using to break 150?? If you throw a decent sub in a well planned wall with some decent power 150 is very doable. I think i could hit 160 with my subs if i gave them enough power but im trying to draw the line at 155 so i can save money

i hit 142.2 @ 27hz(certified termpro mic) out of the trunk with 1 15 and 400 watts in a big ported box. The roof, windows, and hood flexed a decent amount because the bass was so low

My old system I got a 140.6db with 2 american pro 12's and a cheap 600w rms amp, man did it sound horrible. My new system I should hit around 155dbs and still have unbelievable sq. I have 2-12in Adire Audio Brahmas and a 3000 watt rms US Amps.

you might have a bit of a hard time getting to 155 with the 12 inch brahmas. What enclosure are you putting them in?

good choice with the us amps...i just got rid of 4 vlx400s so i could get the amps for my camaro install. They were supposed to put out something like 5000wrms @1/4ohm each.

155 may be possible with enough power, and if he builds the box for maximum output at the transfer frequency of the car. With a box Q of .7, he should still still see high 140s, low 150s.

generally when you build an SPL box the Q of 0.7 isnt as disireable because you're going for more ouput and sound quality. 145 is certainly within reach, 150 might be a bit challenging, but 155 would be an accomplishment.

i hit a 155.3 with a 15" audiobahn alum15q and a kenwood 600 watt amp, in a custom made box,but it was in my truck, i have cracked my rear window once, not in the test, and my friend who lives 5 mile away, 1 mile as the crow flies could hear my start my car, you could hear it coming a good 5 minutes away if you know what to listen for.

i havn't gotten round to finishing my box for my bird, but when i get it together, it should be nasty

12.1d infinity perfect on the kenwood 600 watt amp
should rumble, can't wait to get that together and get it tested

i agree that it would be a loud setup, but at 155 most people cant stand sitting in the car you cant see and cant breathe most of the time. Ive owned the audiobahn aluminums and they didnt seem like much of a dedicated spl sub to me

what box did you have the sub in?
