will subs work on my 4 channel sony amp
i used to have a 480 watt amp powering my 10" sony xplod subs but i let my brother borrow it and he blew it up so then i bought a 800w sony explod amp, but when i hook the subs up to it i get no *** at all...i found out that its a 4 channel amp...id there any way i can get it to power the subs the way a 2 channel amp would
4 channel amp to 2 channel amp
You must bridge your channels to make your four channel amp to a two channel amp. Basically you take on the first two chanels the positive on the first channel and the negative on the seond channel to make one channel. To do the second channel all you do is the same thing. You take the third channel positive and the fourth channel negative to make the second channel.Hook your subs up that way and now you have a two channel amp that was once a four channel amp.

Almost every Sony amp I've seen will release the magic smoke if you attempt to power a two ohm load or bridge the channels.
read the paperwork carefully before you reach the point of no return.

well i was on a budget i wanted to spend under 250 total for my sub amp wireing and box
i went the day after christmas for all the sales bought
KAC-7201 kenwood amp after weeks of research for my budget this was the best built in fan and a good wattage and good reviews
with 1 sub bridged it pushes 460rms 800 peak
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2477
got it at circuit city for 150 i believe
then for a sub i was leaning towards a p miller but it was alittle outta my budget and ive always liked infinity so i got
http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.js...&oid=71445&m=0
1200 peak 300 rms but know to take alittle abuse from amp so i could push alittle more which i dont
got that for 63 bucks
wirering 20 bucks
box 15 in supplys built it myself
but thats for a cheap system if i crank it all the way up u can feel your hair vibrate and all so its enough for me i dont need to be hear a block away just enough bass to match the loudness of a stereo nicely
but if u want somthing nice p.millers bazooka dual voice coil 12inch sub hit hard and nice and smooth
