Cheap sub alternative

I know this is gonna sound wierd, but I bought a $15 Roadmaster box at Wal-mart. I then hooked it up to my Jensen 4-channel, 600 watt amp and ran it at low pass and set the rest of the options for base. I am running the speakers at 280 watts of their 300 watt max. This setup is a cheap alternative for expensive subs. It may not have all the thump of subs, but I don't like HUGE amounts of bass, anyway. These cars don't need alot to sound good. Too much bass and it makes the whole system sound bad in my opinion. Don't know if anyone can use this, I just thought I would list it just in case.

Hey, I never said I thought that they were any good. Just that they made decent bass. I have ran this box hard for a while now and they haven't blown. I will get real subs... sooner or later.

I'd love to hook a pair up to my 1600 watt amp.

I just want to see how far I can make the voicecoil fly...

any bets?

on second thought, can that damage the amplfifier? that'd be bad... mkay?
