Sorry for this..
So i know the rules of this forum and the only reason i am still asking this question is because i'm desperate. I have called audio shops, tried looking in manuals and countless other sources and have found nothing.
Okay, so my gf's 92 mazda 929 stock stereo sucked. I swirched it for an alpine head unit. The thing is there was no remote wire any where. I checked every wire and could not find one. Also, and the big problem is, whenever I turn the subwoofers on with the radio playing, the sound gets real fuzzy. But it sounds perfect with a cd in and the radio sounds good with the subs off. The car came with two antennas and so i just plugged in the one that got the best reception. Also, the car came with an antenna that would extend out of the when the car was turned on.
What do i do about the remote wire?
Why does the radio sound bad with the subwoofers on and sound good with the cd in?
And what do i do to get the antenna to come up when the car turns on?
Any help would be great but i understand if this post gets the boot.
Thanks,
Brandon

Every head unit has a remote wire and most even have a separate power antenna wire. Your alpine is no exception.
Somewhere in that alpine harness is a blue wire with a white stripe, and that's what you need for the power antenna.
If for some reason yours was cut, removed, hacked, whatever, you can just wire the power antenna turn-on wire to any switched ignition source. It'll come on every time you turn on your key, but since you probably don't drive around with the radio turned off that often anyway, it's not really a big deal.
As for your noisy radio, I suspect that'll go away when your antenna is functioning properly.

the car has to have a power antenna wire if it uses the radio to decide when to raise/lower the antenna.
Hit up a mazda forum and do a search. I'm sure you aren't the first person to put a radio into a Mazda.
This should help you:
http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Mazda-Wiring.pdf
According to the link, pin E on your harness is the power antenna wire. It doesn't list the color, but unless your harness has already been hacked out of the car, it should be simple to find.

so wait a minute... you know the alpine has the wire you need, and you know the car has the wire you need, but somehow you can't figure it out? I'm confused now.
As for the 2 antennas, forget about it. No aftermarket radio that I'm aware of is set up for a dual antenna system. I haven't seen one that was since some of the Denons in the early 90s. Just use one and be done.

No, right now i have the 12 v from the car connected to the remote and 12 v on the alpine. So one wire from the car to two wires on the alpine. The power antenna doesn't get hot when the ingition is on.
thta's what i did for the antenna hook up.
I'm sorry for the consusion, i'm use to our cars with the one antenna, 8 speaker wires, remote, power and ground. Is there any way to do this to her mazda. I think it would be a lot easier to work on with the simpler design.

I'm still semi lost. Are you saying that you've got the 12 volt car wire (battery or ignition power?) connected to the radio's power as well as to the car's power antenna wire, or you've got the 12 volt car wire connected to the radio's power wire and the radio's remote wire? If you've got it wired up the 2nd way, that's not doing you any good at all.
Mazda 12 volt battery goes to the yellow alpine wire.
Mazda 12 volt switched (ignition) goes to the red alpine wire.
Mazda Power antenna wire hooks to blue alpine wire.
Mazda ground wire hooks to black alpine wire.
Those 4 connections will be all you need to make the radio function. If you are powering the speakers with the radio's internal power, then obviously you'd need to hook up the speaker wires too.

You put 12V on the Acc wire (red in the Alpine harness), you put 12V on the Batt wire (Yellow in the Alpine harness) AND YOU PUT 12V ON THE REMOTE WIRE (blue in the alpine harness)? Is that what you mean? I hope not. If so that's vary vary bad. You should have 12V coming out remote wire (blue in the alpine harness), not going into it. (Note I used () allot) It would help if included if you're talking about the HUs harness or the cars harness and the color if talking about the HUs harness. It will make it easier to tell what you're talking about and for use to help you. I think theres a terminology thing going on here...

The 12 volt (always hot) is connected to the two, i could not find the igniton lead. Everything else is hooked up correctly. My problem is i don't have the remote from the car. I can't find it. The power antenna is now hooked up. but, i still get static when i turn on the subwoofers.

Wow...so let's get this straight...you have the 12v wire from the car spliced into the yellow wire AND the blue/white wire on the Alpine? Anyone care to take bets on how long it'll be before he fries the radio?
When you put the Alpine in the car, did you bypass the factory amplifier? It'll be in the trunk right up against the back seat, I believe closer to the driver's side. Those cars have 6 speakers from the factory, so you'll need to wire the rears in series. If you don't bypass that amp, you're only going to be running with 4 working speakers. You don't need the factory amp turn-on wire.

when you say "remote" you are reffering to the 'remote power' wire, as in wire that goes to radio accorys (amps, power antennae), right?
or do you mean a 'remote control' like for your TV or some headunits. if you are talking about a 'remote control' in the TV set sense forget about it...
if you are having this much trouble locating the 'remote power' wires leading to factory/aftermarket amps and powere antennae, why don't you just run your own wires?
as for ignition switched 12V (on when ignition/acc is on, so your radio won't work while the keys are not in) there should be dozens of them under the dash, just splice into one.
hope this helps...

This thread has far too many people saying almost the same thing too many times. Grossly hard to follow
On my alpine that's the remote turn on for the amps.
Does this mean that it's functioning as it should (going up when the radio is on and down when the radio is off)?
