Give me tips on hiding wires

I installed a second amp recently, so I now have a 4 channel amp and a mono amp. Its mounted on top of the hump. Right now, the wiring meets in the middle of the two. There are A LOT of wires. It sounds fine, but the wiring mess looks, well, like a mess.
How do you guys hide your wires?

Try and fish it under the carpet by removing the center console.

Yea, the easiest way is just to go under your center console, but you could try to get under the carpet if you remove some of your interior pieces. And I found that using black wire is the way to go (if you have black carpet), because if you have to expose a wire, it wont stick out like a sore thumb.

strip it

i wired my car with the interior completly out when i was doing a resotration and modificcation i did it all at once, ran the battery to the back, then ran all the speaker and sub/amp wires. i have them all seperated to avoid noise. and you cant see even one of them it looks great. if you cant pull your interioruse a snake and pull it under the rug.

My original post was unclear. I already ran the wires along the door sills, power on one side, spks and pre's on the other.

Where it looks nasty is in the back, on top of the hump.
I'll get pics so you can see what I'm asking.

Try this. Run the wires as straight as possible side by side and put cable ties every inch or so. Maybe make them a contrasting or complimenting color and SHOW OFF your wire. If it is done neatly you can run wires out.

Here is one I did for my friend in 2001. 1996 Firebird

Bro you asked for opinions and help, so you already ran everything and you can't change it. If you want to do it right either lift the carpet or fish the wires underneath the carpet, there is NO hiding exposed wires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relax Duke, I think what he is looking for is just how to dress up the area right around the amps and is looking for other options that just run them under the carpet, cut a hole at the amps and pop the wires through.
Another option is to build a rack to cover the amps. Put some Plexi out the amps, run some fans and carpet that. Or plexi that and make it smooth.
Similar to that is you could make fiberglass caps that covered over the ends of the amps. Carpet or paint to mack the look of the amps. Don't have to bother with fans like this.
You could put the amps on a small plat form or just mount them on post and run the wires right under the amp so you don't see where the wires come through the carpet. Could also back the the area buy having lights come on under the amps than way.
Or don't cover then all the way. You can just lay them out nice, or loom them. Put the amps on a rack that's fiberglass. Drill holes 2 inches out form the amp right at the terminals. On for each speaker channel, 1 for B+, 1 for ground, And a small 1 for remote. Put nice grommets in. Then you can you just use some plastic looming. Or get some tubing, stainless steel if you can. Put the wire through the tubing and make a nice smooth 90* bend in it that would sit just above the rack and direct the wires to there respective posts. The wire in the tubing Helps keep it from folding in on it's self when you bend it. If you can get SS polish it up. If you use soft copper (EZ to bend) paint it to accent things, or match the interior.
Is that more what you where looking for.

I made a box for it. It started to overheat do I put a small PC fan in there. You can do it in the middle if you looke closely.

Even if you already ran your wires, it takes no time to poke a small hole in your carpet right under the amp, and then run the wires off to the side under the carpet, following the same path they're already on. It'll take you 10 minutes.

But, while you're under the carpet, run a board under it to secure your amp(s) to. You NEVER want to screw the amp(s) directly to the floor. Your gas tank is a half inch under that floor, and even if your screws didn't already puncture it, if you get into an accident they will.

Needaz, that is exaclty what I was looking for .

I like the idea of boxing it with fans. The other ideas sound awesome too, but more involved than I want to get right now.

Jim, I had a pretty tought time moving all that carpet around the when I originally ran the wires. I'm not sure if that is a 10 minute job, but it would be a last resort to hide the mess if I can't find time to build an amp box.

Thanks

Well, maybe it's a 15 miute job. Take the spare tire cover off, loosen the same piece on the other side, and take the back panel off. You'll have more than enough room to lift up the carpet at the back once you get those panels out of the way.

Pulling the carpet up from the trunk, thats using your head. I had some one mindedness going on, thinking you meant to pull the carpet up from the inside. I didn't want to do that again. If the amp box thing never gets going, I'll hide the wires under the carpet.

BUT, the distribution block won't look too well under the carpet. Any nice known hiding spots for that?

Why hide it? Do the same thing... mount it to the board that you're putting under the carpet, and tuck the wires through a small hole in the carpet.

Again, I gotta try this using-your-head thing.
Keeping the dist. block out would be cool; I like thelook of it between the amps. Now I can get the tangle of wires tucked away.

I hid my distribution block behind the sail panel. I am going to put it somewhere else if i get another amp though. The 1 wire was too big to run to just my one amp.
