check your settings on the amp and radio, like hpf/lpf, gain...how are the subs wired are they single or dual voice coil? cuz if u accidentally wired them at a high impedance(series) then they arent going to move much....or be loud at all. are u sure they are in phase too? if they arent they will cancel each other out therefore not very loud. hope this helps...

its all hooked up and set up just like it was in my uncles dually to the exact except instead of like 2 or 0 guage wiring its 4....were thinkin it might not be gettin enough power or draining to much off the alternator.

probably not your prob since those amps dont really do the kinda power they say they do. I was running 2000w RMS in my old durango on 4 ga and never had a problem. what kinda radio are u using and what did he have? if u have an avg radio the signal output is usually no more than 2v whereas a high quality radio usually does between 4&6v. thatl make a BIG diff.

Also make sure that your power wires are large enough. If they are not the amp cannot get enough power. For 1600 TRUE watts you would need at least a 2g wire if not a 0g because you would be running approximately 120 amps. However you are only running about 600-800 watts so I would go with at least a 4g wire or larger just to be on the safe side.

*EDIT* Sorry bout that I was typing while you were posting

its the same pioneer headunit he was running in his truck..he sold his truck and put factory back in it and i got everything out of it...he was running 2 or 0 gauge wire with a 250Amp fuse in the wire instead of my 4 gauge wiring kit from walmart with a 100a fuse in it.

well maybe that IS your prob. souds to me like something else is a little off but if u say everythings cool maybe you should try your pwr wire. when i worked at a shop we never had that prob due to pwr wire on those kind of amps but then again we didnt use pwr wire from wal mart. oh yeah, is the new box the correct size? that wouldnt make them move less though...

I realy don't think it's you power wire, install of the power wire maybe, but not that the wire is to small. Are the lights dimming at all? How's ground for the amp and HU?
What is the model of the HU? Could be the RCA ground. Do you have an DMM/ohm meter and know how to use it?

does that HU have multiple sets of preamp outs if so make sure the RCAs are in the right set. check all gains in the headunit/amp too

Your problem may be your electrical system. You may need a larger alternator to handle the power demands of your amp. Also what size battery do you have in your car currently? Check out jegs or summit for alternators, you can get a good sized one for about $70-$100.

If your subs are out of phase (one hooked up correctly one not) = little bass...

take a AA battery, tap the + to the + wrie, ground to ground, the speaker should pop out, not in...
