kick panels - who makes them
Does anyone here still make these other than Jim? Jim is currently not taking orders and I really need a set, and I dont have the know how or desire to build them myself.

In a nut shell:
1 - cut MDF rings for woofer and tweeter
2 - aim the speakers (attach ring to kick pannel with some flexable metal)
3 - stretch fleece over whole kick panel
4 - apply resin
5 - add a layer or two of mat/cloth on top of that
6 - do some quick sanding
7 - finish with paint, carpet, etc

There's a lot more to it than that.
For the most part Gummie is right though. It's not beyond the realm of a "DIY" project if you've got the patience to get through it the first time. One of the harder aspects to the project is experimenting with driver positioning, which can take forever, and then figuring a way to attach your fiberglass piece to the stock kick panel, unless you want to replace the entire piece, which I never felt looked right.
Since there seems to be a lot of interest again, I'll see if I can't get a few pieces started over the next couple weeks for those who have been waiting. I finally got my workshop cleaned over the weekend, so once I get a workbench built I should be able to get started.
