they used to have the best amps you could get in my opinion. there subs were good but not as good as alot of others. If you can get a good deal on them they are worth it but if they seem pricey I would pass.

Don't do it, that way to much.
You could get 2 12'' Jl's on ebay if you look around.

Do not mix sub sizes! You want to hear the most distorted, crappy sounding base you've ever hear? That's the way to do it!

Re: has anyone ever used precision power subs?

You would have to cross them over properly because two different sized subs playing the same frequency might get a bit ugly...

If you have 250 bucks to spend on subs, look into twin 12" JLs or something along those lines.

do you already have an amp or still have to get one. what kind of music do you listen to? you need to look at all of that before picking out a sub.

Re: has anyone ever used precision power subs?

i listen to rock and rap. i dont have the amp yet. would three 12s fit in that sticky box or how about three 10s and would two twelves be as good as three 10s? say alpine type r's or whatever the good ones are? it was the guy at the store who told me to go with two 10s and a 12 and run them off the same amp. guess im not going back there...thanks for the input guys.

Re: has anyone ever used precision power subs?

you would be better off with 2 12's. really for rock and rap, you would be OK using Pioneer's Premier line 12's. Pioneer is normally louder than the Alpine's anyway but they are no where near as clear as any of Alpine's stuff.
