Odd audio plug

ok so now to make things even more fun i was lookin through all the audio wires I have comin from the car and i found some plugs with wires still attached to them. One looks like a factory audio harness but the others are little round plugs. Im not sure if they are stock or not but if anyone has any ideas thatd help alot. i attached pictures of them. plug 1 each wire has a letter above it on the plug. the black wire is A and it goes through F which is the yellow wire. plug 1 looks like a wire harness but the colors dont match up with the ones i found for my car. anyone know what any of these plugs are? thanks alot and none of them connect either i allready tried em all.

Re: Odd audio plug

Plug 1 looks like the ones for the auto tranny hookup on the shifter, and plug 4/5 looks like lower dash panel lights at least the orange and white wire one does, the darker color wire one may be for the heater light or maybe the auto shifter bezel.

Re: Odd audio plug

Is your car a manual trans? The 82-83 cars at least still had the big auto trans connector even if the car was a manual from the factory, the harness was universal. I was very surprised to find that when I did my manual to auto conversion on my 83 that the plug for the shifter was already there and I just plugged it in and the backup lights worked. That big flat one is the auto transmission shifter plug. It switches back up lights, and also tells the ECM whether the car is in neutral or a forward gear (park/neutral switch flag)

Re: Odd audio plug

I didnt think of that being the auto shifter hookup. I know the transmission was swapped to a 5 speed but i dont remember if it was manual or automatic before. well if none of them were audio plugs then the previous owner took all the wires out completely since there werent any others in there so I get to completely rewire from audio from scratch

Re: Odd audio plug

Im guessing it was origionally an auto, in your middle picture in the backround see the black tube with the piece sticking out with a hole in the middle? Thats the shift interlock cable.
