It wont fit in an '87 without some fab work. I think I could be wrong however.

I do know someonw who bought a sub box for a 1990 camaro of sonic and it was alright but for half the price I built mine and it looks better and is stronger too. That box you have a link for is for 1989-1992 camaro's so I do not know if it will fit a 1987. Here is a link to a thread that shows my sub box build https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/car-...ght=sub+my+box . If you have any questions about building one let me know I actually have a set of plans that can walk you through the whole thing that I can email to you if you are interested. A sheet of 3/4 MDF some screws liquid nails and some carpet or felt is all you need and my grand total was $60!Originally Posted by marshall1

Well I don't see why it wouldn't fit in an 87. there weren't any changes in the rear hatch from 82-92 I think. Only problem I could see is if the box was built for a manual latch hatch, and you own a power latch hatch, or vise-versa, but I doubt that's the reason cause the power hatch was around before 89. And I somewhat agree with darrenscamaro. You can build a box relatively cheap that's better in terms of quality and looks, but if your someone who lives in an apartment or something, and don't have the power tools or friends with the power tools to cut up a sheet of MDF, then buying a pre made box is normally the better, and sometimes, only way too go.
i was planing on buying the box stripping the carpet of add rings to the top to angle the subs eith to have the fire fowards or or angle the magnets in towards the the pocket so i could put bigger subs in and giv it a custom look then fiber glass the whole thing for strength and i was told it would make more bass and i want to have a 3d chevy bowtie coming out of it

Why not get one on Ebay for half the price?
CAMARO / FIREBIRD 10'' PRE92 SUBWOOFER SUB SPEAKER BOX
CAMARO FIREBIRD 12" 84-92 SUBWOOFER SUB SPEAKER BOX
There not bad the only thing I keep hearing is sealing. Well I don't know about you but last I checked Silicon caulk was below $10. Just recaulk it and you got a nice sub box for cheap.

Because the ebay boxes are pretty crappy. Don't get me wrong, you could probably add bracing to the inside of the ebay box and add tons of caulking, and it would be pretty good, but the two problems I find with the ebay boxes are: You lose all access to your glove box in the hatch, and the ebay boxes are made of 5\8" MDF as opposed to 3\4" MDF. The ebay boxes will be weaker because its made with 5\8" MDF. that's my Originally Posted by RS Reaper

Well there are trade off for eachish. Buying a box from a company can drop a good bit of money. It's just a option for him. He may not use his glove box in the hatch and caulk is cheap. I know I'm going to build mine seems the best but not everyone has the tools, time, and space I do.

I bought my CD deck from them and was VERY happy. They were very nice and shipping was quick and packaged very nicely.

I have used sonic for almsot all my car audio needs, I also bought my cd deck from them, interior speakers and amp! Also some of the minor install pieces like extra fuses and wire. Sonic is great for things like that, but like I said a friend of mine bought that same box for his 1990 RS and dont get me wrong it does the job but building a box is just the better way to go. Also after you factor in shipping for that box you are looking at a good price tag. Like I said earlier I built mine for cheap in the area of $60.Originally Posted by Bullydawg
