A good combo?

I have been searching endlessly for new speakers for my camaro. I have the original speakers with a sony cdx-l350 deck in my car. I have been looking at a pair of these kicker speakers, and seem to have heard good things about them.

Speaker Grilles Included

They seem like some of the middle of the road speakers without going over board. I listen to mostly an arrangement of rock music so bass isn't really a major concern.

Any comments as to how the speakers are?

Re: A good combo?

the 4x6 are good speakers, but they sit too high, u would have to use spacer, and ur dash would be raised a bit

Re: A good combo?

Two high as in it will hit the dash pad? There is no way you can just bend the plates a little so it sits lower?

Any good suggestions for a good combo of 6x9 and 4x6 that are middle of the road as far as quailty and price, don't need anything super fancy.

Re: A good combo?

I see your point but how easy would it be to hook up in place of the speakers? and would it sound as full with just the 6x9 and tweeters. I was also thinking about then just making it a 6 speaker system and putting two midwoofers in the trunk with an amplifier if nessecary.

Heres another look at my speakers

Pioneer TS-A6963R (sail panels)

6"x9" 3-way car speakers (pair)
injection-molded polypropylene woofer reinforced with basalt, graphite, and Aramid fibers (rubber-coated cloth surround)
3/8" PET silver film dome tweeter
2-1/4" treated paper cone midrange
power range: 2-40 watts RMS (270 watts peak power)
frequency response: 31-37,000 Hz
sensitivity: 91 dB
top-mount depth: 2-7/8"

PIONEER TS-T110
120W TWEETERS (pair)

Around 200, but no more than three.

My borhter has a nice pioneer system in his ranger and it sounds nice, and my dad has pioneer in his trucks and they hav enever given him a problem unlike his old inffinitys. Basically all I really need to know is the pricess of hooking up these tweeters and if I will need an amp for the 4 6x9's or if I should just go wtih the midwoofers for the 6x9 in the rear and just keep a 4 speaker system.

Yep I'm pretty sure to go with the pioneer setup, but my question is, do you mount up tweeters just like regular speakers where the original 4x6's went?

I can see how bass in the dash can be bad, my dash rattles enough already.

I had Polk 4x6s, but the surround tore, so in went some Memphis Audio 4x6s. When putting in the new speakers a little silicone caulk in key areas really eliminated the amount of sqeaks/rattles. Then again, my dash didn't rattle much to begin with...
