Re: AMP POWER WIRE
I routed mine from the battery, through a hole in the headlight panel into the front bumper attached to the radiator support (all hidden) back into a hole in the drivers side headlight area into the engine bay, tucked it into the fender and through a drilled hole in the firewall then inside the cabin to the rear. The only part of the cable that's visable is where it leaves the battery post.
Re: AMP POWER WIRE
so did you drill a hole on the passenger side cause this is what i wanted to do go from battery drill a hole right at the passenger floor pan under where a glove compartment SHOULD be then go under the carpet and to the trunk but drilling a hole was my last resort

Re: AMP POWER WIRE
I didnt drill the hole, I removed the speedo cable and used the pre-drilled speedo cable hole to use for the #4 but, same idea. My speedo is now electronic in case your wondering.. Just a suggestion, purchase a split rubber gromet to seal the hole and protect your cable.
BTW, I ran my RC's down the passenger side. Exactly the opposite of what you have in mind.

Re: AMP POWER WIRE
i drilled a hole right next to the antenna grommet for my power wire on the last install. make sure to put in a new grommet for the wire so you don't have any issues down the road

Re: AMP POWER WIRE
like dan, i drilled a couple of holes adjacent to the antenna grommet. each #4 has a grommet.

Re: AMP POWER WIRE
You gotta run the RED power wire from the amp under the door jam plastics. you just gotta take out the 4 screws while the door is open. Make sure the Battery is disconnected while doing so. First disconnect the postive terminal though. U can get an amp setup kit at walmart for about 16 dollars. I have an 8 gauge wire. It fits perfect. Like i said just run it under the passenger side plastics. Then when you get to the dash, run it under where the kick panel connects and theres a hole about 3 inches away from the door jam. It SHOULD pull out where the smog pump relay is. Then u screw it to the postive terminal. hook the battery back up,then put the fuse in the power wire.

Re: AMP POWER WIRE
back when my car still had a front mount battery,i ran
my 6GA.amp wire from the starter motor batt. stud
through a grommet protected hole under the A/C box,
under the plastic sill trim, over the rear fenderwell to
an amp rack in the spare tire area
Also there was a
50a fuse underhood in case of a short...
now there is a much larger cable following the same
route from battery in the spare area up to the starter.
My amp cable is now only about 15"

Re: AMP POWER WIRE
YOu can just use any existing grommet, thats how i do it every day at work, ive got an antenna i shaved to a point and i just stab the grommet being sure not to stab any wires and just use e-tape to attach the power wire to it, go inside and pull viola you have just run it thru the firewall, and for routing it your best bet will be to tap the battery and go around the engine bay, none of that crazy headlight stuff, you could potentially cause a break by doing that which is no fun, just cut about 6 inches off of your power wire, go from the battery to the fuse with it, then from the fuse around the bay and into the fire wall, use looming to cover it and youll never know the difference, and ziptie that thing in place and youre all set, pull the panels on the driver side and run the power wire/rcas/remote wire down underneath the carpet and dont worry about running them together, it makes NO difference despite peoples opinions, and plug into your amp and youre done if you wanna save yourself some grief id pull the amp fuse outta the engine bay while running it ive seen alot of people pop the fuses when shoving the wire around lol and you wont have to disconnect the battery or any of that junk itll be a dead wire til you put the fuse back in place
