I just picked up a double din from my friend. I did some searching and got an idea of the modifications/trimming needed to get it to fit right. However, I was wondering what mounting kit folks have used as a starting point. Any help appreciated!

I'm looking for this info also. It looks like there is enough room to get a decent install of a double.

 

i started with aluminum brackets

 

Im sure there is enough room and I will try it that way. Will be nice to see the fitment from beginning to end. thanks.

 

first cut off rear support tab, heated vents to accomidate depth of new headunit, glued alpine trim ring to dash bezel

 

routered bezel, filled in hole with abs and glue
