Good Places To Mount Fron Speakers
Does Any One Have Any Good Suggestions To Mount Front Speakers Or Component Speakers? I Want A Spot Where They Will Sound Good But Not Be In The Way, If You have Any Ideas Or Especially Pictures Can You Please Post Them? Thanks!

any "good" spots in these cars are going to require some fabbing. best would be kick panels, followed next by doors, finally stock locations

q-logics look good (little pricey for what you get though), but should get some additional reinforcement before being installed. adding a couple of layers of fiberglass should do the trick and stiffen things up.

It was not a real easy install but there was room for the speakers(Just barely). There 6 in. and the covers are real close to the window cranks but do not hit. They sound great .

if you have power windows, that spot gets a bit more difficult to work with. it can still be used, but since the window motor is right behind there, you have to make some spacer to make sure the magnet clears. I used that spot for my midbasses when I was running a 3-way component set in my RS a few years back (tweeter and mid were in kickpanel enclosures)

in most vehicles, properly aimed kick panel enclosures are the best location for speakers since they are as close to equal distance as you can get. However, enclosures aren't usually too cheap, so most opt to just stick with the dash.

Oh Ok I See, I Thought Maybe Since They Were Down There And Your legs Would Be Blocking The Sound It Wouldn't Be As Clear But Maybe Im Just Thinking To Hard LoL Yeah I'm Thing Components In The Kick Panels And Keeping The Dash Speakers Too, I Want To Throw A 12" JL Audioe W6 Or W7 In The Back So Im Going To Need Good Hi's & Mids For All That Bass

youve also got to consider using speperates though, if the bass driver is by your leg and the tweet is up high and its all staged correctly then it will mix perfectly, biggest issue with doing sperperates in our cars though is it looks.....ridiculous.... our panels are flat so it just looks goofy to me, i toyed with the idea of kick panel enlosures but i opted to stick with the dash

This guy used Hertz shallow mount comps with his power windows. It's a great thread.

My door buildouts and qform kicks
Your best bet is in the kick panels.

Re: Good Places To Mount Fron Speakers
I'm going with a 5 1/4" and a 1" in the kicks and like stated before your leg will block "SOME" of the higher frequencies so to compensate I'll do another 1" tweeter in the A pillar firing directly at each other. To add to the front stage a 6 1/2 mid bass in the door.
It all depends on how much sound you want and how far you are willing to go to get it

Re: Good Places To Mount Fron Speakers
One thing I do NOT recommend is cutting out the 4x6 holes in the dash; I started this for my Infinity Reference components and just got too deep.
Right now I have no pass. heat, and some nice big holes in the dash pad.
Plans now are to get a new dash pad, put the heat pipes back, and place the speakers in the kick panels.
I'll post pics if you're interested when I get finished.
Right now the stereo is on hold, because I'm swapping MR2 seats in at the moment.
