Has any one ever messed around with any of the flat subs would it work under the front seats. Or would that be a no go

Re: Flat 10 subs under seats
if they did it would be a very tight fit, im assuming they wouldnt even a shallow sub is 3 inch's deep and will still need .5 cubic feet of area to sound somewhat decent ive never seen it done especially in a camaro where the seats are almost bolted on the floor, i could be wrong though

under the rear seats may be a possibility with shallow 10's, front seats I doubt it but prove me wrong I'd love to see it done!

From reviews I've read, they aren't that great. I was debating something like this for my crew cab Colorado so it wouldn't take up any seat or leg room, but decided against it because I want to hear AND feel the bass. I'll build a box to go under the rear bench instead.
I'm running a 658 watt RMS Infinity amp into 2 Kicker Comp CVR DVC 12's in a custom box in the hatch tub in my Z28, and it is almost the perfect volume and feel for me- probably not so much my neighbors or fellow motorists.
Also, you are going to need .5-1" of clearance between any sub and the seat itself so it doesn't chew itself apart on the seat springs, frame, etc.

Re: Flat 10 subs under seats
I highly doubt you could fit anything bigger than maybe a 6" speaker under a third gen seats. I can barely fit my hand under parts of the seat to get stuff that has fallen under them.
I think at the highest clearence points, our seats might be 3" from the floor. But that is only in one small section of the seat near the back of it. The fronts have a hump in the floor that comes up and that is where the front mounting bolts bolt in.
I don't see it happening under the rear seats either. That tub that the rear bottom seat sits in is fairly shallow and I doubt there is more than an inch or two of space between the bottom of the seat and the bottom of the tub. And that space is meant to be used as an area for the seat to sag a little if someone is sitting in it.
If you want it completely hidden, your best bet is behind the plastic in the rear. Either removing the spare tire and putting it there, or you could go behind the glove box. I dont think there is much of anything in the way behind it and should give enough room for a small 8 or 10" flat sub enclosure.

That one from Wally World will crap out on you in a week, if it doesn't the first time it turns on.
Sounds like you use your camaro as more of a utility car than a sports car
FYI- I scored my amp on ebay for $100 new, box for $50 on CL, and the subs for $25 for the pair on ebay.

Re: Flat 10 subs under seats
When I was in the same situation I utilized a free air sub using the oem cover board for the rear. Gave better bass than what you are looking at for about the same price, and it didn't eat up any space in the back really.

Re: Flat 10 subs under seats
Why not put flat 10's in the sail panel and build an enclosure?
