Alpine 7863! Jim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP!

I just swapped my Kenwood Excelon 615 for an Alpine 7863 Headunit. I don't have a users manual so I have a questions. There is a menu somewhere that controls Crossover, Center Bass & Treble, and etc. How do I get to it? Thanks John
Here's a pic of it

It's not showing up in that menu is it because of that Ai-net switch under the receiver?

It also has an independent sub control that most people dont know about... Hold the blue button in (the one thats beside the circle dial) until it says SUB LEVEL.. Than u can choose 1 2 or 3 and it gives u some more bass....

Are u sure it has the crossover option? I have the 7861 and it doesnt have that option... The 7863 came with it? I didnt think it did.. They told me the only difference between the 7861 and 7863 is the appearance?

Try this..............

http://www.alpine1.com/html/D2_n_1_n_n.html

It's the owner's manual for your HU.

It may not let you in. If it doesn't, let me know.

EDIT: Well all that link does now is take you to the HomePage.

Give the thing a few minutes to download and then I'll email it to you. OK? It'll be an Adobe Acrobat Reader progam file. Do you have that program?

It's on it's way.

Let me know if it worked or not.

That MSN is a lot faster at transferring files than Yahoo is!!!!!!!

I just spent about 5 min. trying to get Yahoo to do it.

MSN/Hotmail took about 5 sec.!!

The illumination isn't switchable on this model. You've got to live with the green.

Just like for the bass adjustment, you hold in the green button until you see the bass. THen you use either the volume **** or the track up/down buttons to scroll through the bass, treble & crossover adjustments. I think you use the track up/down buttons to scroll and use the **** for adjustments. If you don't have it figured out by tomorrow, I'll go out to my GTA and refresh my memory.

Err! I was searching the web to see what kinda stuff it had and all the sites I went to said it did but I sure didn't find it and I guess that's a good reason why. Hey Jim when I turn on the SW in the menu I lose alot of my Sub output, but when it's off it's like 5-10times louder Ihave to turn up the SW level to like 10 to equal the output of it turned off. Is yours like that and any reason why?

I don't use the sub output because I let me amp handle the crossover task. I'm guessing that you're turning on the crossover, and it's probably set at a low frequency, so you're cutting out most of the bass.
