Guys, for Christmas, I got an 88 IROC Z28. It kick @$$!! Sounds like a NASCAR thanks to the Flowmaster exhaust. It has the stock radio with cassette. My only question concerns the speakers. It appears to have PIONEER speakers in the back, and PIONEER in the dash. But I didn't think PIONEER came stock. The speakers have a rubber outside, and the cones are like a paper-ish fiber. Were these put in, or are they stock?

Unless they say AC Delco on them, they're aftermarket.

are you talking about the black cloth cover? So you can't see the cones???

 

All GM systems use Delco Electronics or BOSE, Besides BOSE the best speakers put in a camaro were the ERS series. Which basically meant it had 2 way 4x6's but still retained the paper cone fabric surround woofer and a paper cone tweeter. Are you sure it's a rubber surround? I don't think they made any paper cone rubber surround speakers.

 

yeah, it's probably aftermarket that somebody added.

I'm surious as to why you're saying you have an 88 IROC z28 yet your sig says an 88 super coupe with all the stuff you listed your IROC having.

 

If you go to the history board, there's a post about this. It's apparently a sport coupe that somebody put a TPI motor into. No IROC in sight.
