I have talked to some people that work at shops and they said right now they are still in the experimental stages with theses to see how they sell and perform. Newer ones should be better and less expensive. So I say just wait like I am, my cd player is starting to go out.

I know that does not sound like a lot of power but that is what my Clarion is, and it still pushes out a lot of power and sounds really good. Just my opinion.

Kenwood makes an adapter for their CD players with CD changer controls for portable MP3's that only costs $20 in Crutchfield. It plugs into the slot where the changer normally goes. Your changer controls on the deck control the portable player. A good option if you already have a portable MP3 player.

Have you thought about getting a CD-ROM player? I forget what company makes them, but they just came out. They let you play normal CD's still, but you can also play MP3's. The nice thing about them is that you can leave the songs in MP3 format, and fit several hundred on each CD-R. Just a thought.

Listen to me on this one. I work at Best Buy and at a seperate job as a computer tech. I got te Aiwa head unit for my brother, employee=$152.76, and it skipped like crazy. I returned it, DEVO, and got a another one thinking it was the unit itslef. No dice. Every single bump, even the little reflectors between the road line, made this thing skip. Though the internal amp is 35x4, it is 17Wrms, pretty good overall. We ended up swapping his unit out for the Pioneer DEH-7200 it made a tremoundous difference in the sound of his speakers. The internal amp and Eq is just a lot better, 22Wrmsx4. I have hooked up a modifed expansion bay from a laptop to run off his auxilary input. Basically, installing a computer in his car. I downloaded a DOS program and tweaked a few things. He now has 7GB of music on his HD, look awesome too. Aviod the AIWA one. Kenwood makes a very good one, check the $700 price tag though

I install at Best Buy...try to avoid Aiwa if you possibly can. Many, many of them come back with CDs stuck inside.
