MB Quart ?

I got a pair of brand new MB Quart 5.25 speakers who didnīt need them anymore.
I want to know if it would improve the sound if I would change it for my 4x6 stock front system ??.....if it would, where would I put the tweeters ?
Thanks a lot

wow, i havnt been on this board for awhile.. for my first reply back here, i would havta say, definatly give them a shot, back in the day i had a set of mb quart 6.5" componets, sounded amazing.. as far as mounting you may run into some troubles.. maybe go for kick panels?

Regardless of what you do, if I remember correctly MB Quart speakers are very high end car audio components and well worth the trouble to include in your system. Just my two cents, take care now.

it is well worthy to install those mb quarts, as what they said above. maybe not a good place to put where those 4x6 are. kick panels as suggested above would be the ideal place. just don't throw them away. i know they sound good coz i got them.

You definitely can not go wrong putting in MB Quart speakers. I don’t think the 5 1/4 fit in the stock 4x6 location though. It may fit on the drivers side but the passenger side location will not be deep enough because the air conditioning duct is in the way.

A lot of people aren't impressed by the sound of Quarts because they are not used to such a flat response. The quarts are not bright or vibrant, and lack the "sparkle" that other speakers have. Although this is actually more accurate, it's not what people are used to.

I love the sound of my MB Quarts.. 5 1/4 with the tweet and upgraded to the comp x-overs (this was back in 96 when I got'em) Just now intstalled them into the Camaro yesterday after having them set around for about a year. (pulled the stereo out of my nissan before selling it) I missed them hehehe
