I got gyped on ebay
i ordered some audiobahn abp12 12"s in a bandpass, but when it arrived the idiot shipped it as is(No packing or anything,) just slapped the mailing stickes on the plexiglass, one of y ports got damaged and theres a big crack in the plexiglass. Further more i looked at the woofers and it says AUDIOSPHERE and not Audiobahn, and the cones look different too, supposed to be black with audiobahn going across them but instead they are clear with black edging with nothing on them, so now i have to get my money back, do you think that ebays safe harbour will reimburse my money as per there policy

first of all, how high was their feedback? its good to make sure they have a high positive feedback count. also, double check what the description was for the item, if there were any pictures, etc. if there was false advertising, then report it to ebay. they should be able to help you further. sorry to hear about the problem. although i have purchased many things on ebay, i have had a couple duds. dont let the bad discourage you from continuing to use ebay. it is a great place to find great deals.
I would take pictures before you do anything else to the box/subs with the shipping label still on it.
Then take the auction number, any relevant emails between you and the seller and submit all of that with the pictures to ebay. If in fact he was selling them as one thing and shipped you something completely different, then that is fraud and his account should be terminated.
There may be buyer protection from ebay as well depending on their investigation into the matter.
Hope that helps and I'm sorry to see another buyer left with a bad taste for ebay as I personally have had many good buy/sell experiences.

Here is the link for ebay Fraud Protection
http://pages.ebay.com/help/community/insurance.html
quote from their page...
While the vast majority of eBay transactions are trouble-free, rest assured that when fraud happens, our program can help. Here's how fraud is defined on eBay:
1. Paying for an item and never receiving it or
2. Receiving an item that is less than what is described -- such as winning a solid gold necklace but receiving a copper one instead.
I would assume that what happened to you falls under the second example.

Don't bother with UPS. The box wasn't packed right, so they'll pick it up and probably send it back to the shipper. Deal with ebay and the seller.

Do you have the link to the auction? If so I'd be interested in seeing it. Ebay is very safe, in fact people have been arrested by local athorities for fraud on Ebay...You should be just fine, but it may take a while.
