amp power

I'm just curious but for all of you who have subs, how many watts are you cranking? I was considering on getting the shivas, mark-3 i believe, i'm just a high school student is one enough power? I believe it's like 350 watts per coil for one. Would two just be too much? Thanks.

i have a rockford fosgate power 500.2, it cranks out about 750w x1 peak, its a badass amp, im powerin two mb quart reference 12s wit it, they are dual 4ohm subs, so how i will wire it i will get a 4ohm load at the amp

also tell us what type of subs you have, the power rating for each one, what the impendance is for each coil(ohms per coil) then we can better answer your question

nagga,,, you will not be able to wire two dvc subs into 4 ohms at the amp,,,,you said you have a fosgate 500.2(thats 500 watts by 2 channels) that amp will run at 2 ohm stereo though...what you do is wire 2 voice coils parrallel to each channel of the amp,,,this will give you 500 watts to each voice coil(1000 watts per sub)
hope i helped some

Well if you run two subs that have 2 - 4ohm coils in parallel, that will bring the total to 2 ohms, right?

So then you just run those two subs in series, and then you have a 4 ohm load again.

That's probably how he's gonna run 'em.
