the other night i put in a new bass cd i havent yet heard and it took me for a real ride while i watched a crack develop and go all the way down my winshield does anyone know if they by chance make pexiglass window replacement winshields for us third gens

 

I wouldn't go that far. More than likely there was a reason as to why your Windshield cracked. Possibly there was a small rock chip and it was cold outside or etc which made the glass more vulnerable to the situation. I'd just replace it.

 

yeah i agree, that systems not that powerfull to do that

 

I also agree.... U would need like over 200 db's shooting directly at the window to maybe crack it... U must have had a small crack before....

 

their was a chip to start but it spred the height of my window any one know where to get a window for cheep

 

Have you checked your with your insurance co? Mine pays for a free one a year but I also have 0 comprehensive. The cost was of the windshield when they replaced it last year was around $200. Hope this helps.

Some of those mobile windshield replacement places can do it installed for $150 or less.

Triumph Auto Glass came to my house and put a new windshield in my '83 for $165 total.

...also just wanted to mention that a plexiglass/lexan replacement would be more of a pain in the *** than glass as they are notorious for scratching very easily
