carb emissions
ive been thinkin about switching to a carb setup and i wanna know how it will effect my emissions. i really dont know anything about that for carbs. i live in maryland btw.

you wont pass..92 with carb is illegal.i have one. dont do it if you plan on passing emissions. i did it and now am dumping hundreds at a time trying to get it to pass.
dont mean to come off like a jerk but it will save you money to not do the swap.

yea you could do that, that would work. but no carb will pass on a 92 when its inspected not even an alcohol.In ny they give a sticker for your window after you pass. i just take my girlfriends car have it inspected and peel it off and put it on mine. then i have it inspected again.theres always a way around it you just gotta be tricky.

yea your right its a big fine.they use bar codes here so its not as easily noticed. i would just do as you planned and switch back to pass.

hey i passed NJ inspection with my carb and all u need to do is run the car lean and late. basiclly lean out the carb and retard the timming some and put some dry gas in and u will pass, trust me, the idiots even looked under my hood last yr and i passed.

was this on a 82 tho? 92's wont pass with carb unless, like you said they are realy careless.

'82s came with carbs, so they can pass with them. '92 had only TBI and TPI, so they cannot be legally passed with a carb.
