Post Your Mileage and Combo.

I know this has been done alot of times as far as what will I get for mileage. However everyone has different setups.

Please post your setup and what you get for mileage (modest driving).

This thread is so people can look at similar setups and to know what to expect with some tuning.

I am still calculating mine so I will post later.

Have a good one.

Do we need to do it again when it's been done before?

That thread is all about carbed motors--I know I'm not the only TPI around here. I think we need this new thread.

Then why are you posting in the Carburetor forum?

Actually, that is not what I am looking for. No one really posts any engine combinations, on there. People sometimes post their mileage in hopes of you looking at their signature, but being as it was in 2004 that thread was made how accurate are their signatures now?

Not very.

So please post your engine setup and mileage and share tuning experience for optimal fuel.

ok, 14.5 to 16 mpg - not a thrilling ride but gets to work n back

I've got several things to do to raise mpg (listed in my Vgarage).

Re: Post Your Mileage and Combo.

'84 Trans Am - stock LG4 305 engine, Dynomax 2.5" cat back exhaust system, freshly rebuilt carburetor, 3.23 axle ratio. So far its getting about 17 city and 23 hwy. I suspect it will get a little better when I replace the original O2 sensor. The car still smells like its running a little rich.
