carb choice help

carb choice help
ok first off let me start thsi by saying ive been having nothing but trouble and have tried numerous carbs , holly-ran like crap edelbrock 600-ran slowwww
its a 91 350 roller motor, 1.5 roller rockers,882 heads, decked, ported polished, 5 angle valve job,2.02 1.60, performer intake portmatched to heads, factory hyp pistons(flat top w/valve reliefs) i have a msd 6al box hooekd up as well,
what would be a good carb choice for this motor that will provide performance and some fuel economy,

I'd get a rochester Q-jet. Small primaries = decent gas mileage when you keep your foot out of it and large secondaries = nice power. It's a good "Middle" carb....on the upper end actually...though it won't get the best of either of the more dedicated power or economy carbs. They come stock as 750cfm but only take what they need so they really don't "overcarb" the car.

ok a i got a edelbrock 750 now, when i first put it on if i wot off idle it would stutter realyl bad then go, i put in diff metering rods and stiffer springs and bumped the booster one notch and it still does it some, not as bad tho, any ideas what it cud be? if needed ill post a vid

What distributor are you using?
When you have the same results with different carbs, that's a pretty good indication the carb isn't the problem.
I might put an Edelbrock carb on a mock-up display engine, but that's about the only use I have for them.
