Polishing a Carb

Hey i have a holley 80508, which is a 750 electric choke. The carb will be coming off to replace the throttle body base plate and im wondering if i should polish the venturis to maybe get a little more flow. Do you think it would be worth it?
Something thing like this

Only if you believe that waxing your car makes it go faster... lol...

You can do all the little tricks to increase flow... but I think I'd just be tempted to buy a bigger carb.

I couldn't say that either is particularly worth it to me personally.

Re: Polishing a Carb

Well it is a stock small block, so 750 is plenty.

No, leave it alone.

On that type of fuel line keep an eye out where the 2 tubes mate up to the inlet block they have a tendency to fracture and leak.

That isnt my carb it is just polished. The venturis were all rough so i just gave them a polish. Maybe ill do the whole carb in the future but for know that is fine.

Haha in most extreme cases it actually does. Formula One cars as well as top fuel dragsters are all ways waxed because the air slips off easier. Like saying porting your heads without polishing them. You want to get rid of the rough surface.
