82 Crossfire to Carb - Throttle cable and TV cable issues

Hi All,

After months of trying to get crossfire working I finally gave in and decided to convert to carb. Also being a child of the 80's I've only ever worked on efi cars before and decided that I'd like to give it a try.

I've got almost everything figured out with the exception of the transmission kickdown/TV cable. The Crossfire TV cable appears to be waaay too short to be used on a carb converter car? I’m using an adjustable cable bracket and have also installed the TCI 376710 cable corrector. But even with the cable itself at full adjustment and it just won’t reach.

Should I be using a different bracket? Should I be using a different TV cable? Should I just say f* it, and extend the TV cable with some hackery?

What is everyone else doing?

There are distinct differences in cable lengths between TPI, TBI, carburetor and probably crossfire.
This was discussed at:

Maybe that will be of some help. At the very least this will get your post bumped to the top.
Posting on that other thread may get you what you're after as I'm not able to say exactly what the crossfire needed.
I do know my carbed setup had to have a cable specifically for it although I don't have a part number or length handy. (Those details are in that thread by the way).
