Watch out for TJfive0

This person showed initial interest in an item I had for sale. He inquired a lot about the product which impressed me as he wanted to know as much as possible about it. I gave him all the information requested along with part numbers to verify compatibility with his vehicle.

From there he accepted the item at the agreed upon price and was sending the money. Then stopped answering my PM's. I sent him a PM one last time 4 days later. His response was he no longer wants it because it wont fit his vehicle.

He had the actual part number for the part and provided me with the information of his car. Apparently the information was not correct.

Just becareful when dealing with him as he may back out on you like he did me. I do not know if he does not know that much about the car or if it was for other reasons. In the mean time I lost 3 sales from other buyers because he was going to take the item.

FYI, he over reacted a bit. The reason i wasn't responding was because i was out of town and had no internet access. I was confused at first bc i didnt know much. I told him I would buy it if it fit, but then somebody was saying it is a pain in the butt to connect it up to a stock cat and what not. So i had second thoughts. But I couldnt talk to him about it, bc i was up north and had no internet. How am i supposed to contact him? Then to top it off, when I was up north, my cousin gave me his old cat back system from his 86 Z28 for free. So obviously i wasn't going to buy that one. I notified him as soon as I got home and I had internet access. Yet he sill pissed and moaned. He claims he lost 3 sales, but if they were that interested, they woudl still buy it, it was only a matter of 2 DAYS, only 2 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Plus we resolved it out and I feel he should have posted that on here and not hung me out to dry and make me look like an ***.

It was at least 4 days between the time you said you wanted the exhaust to the time you finally responded saying you didnt want it.

Big difference. However the next member who contacted me was a serious buyer and purchased it.

We both know the real story. This thread is here to advise other members. Next time do your research before you look to purchase an item, not at the same time you are telling someone you are taking it.

Quit your bit**ing, just because the sale didn't go through as you had hoped, no need to get all pissy. The reason it took 4 days as you say is because I was doing research, but then in the middle of my research was a weekend, a weekend where I went out of town with no internet access. So I couldn't respond. Also, this isn't some sort of legal binding contract. If you find somebody else to buy it and you don't hear from me, then you sell it. It's a pretty simple concept. I mean it is first come first serve. If you were selling a car to a guy, he said he would buy it, then you don't hear from him for 4 days, then somebody else comes and wants to buy it on the spot. Would you say "i'm sorry, i have a guy that might buy it, you will have to wait" Of course you wont say that, everybody knows, or should know that it is first come first serve. If you take to long you lose it. But in your case, you decided to just bit** about it. Yet you still sold it, oh wow, what a big loss to you. And oh no, I didn't go through on a sale. WATCH OUT FOR ME, I might change my mind and let you know a few days later. Heaven forbid that, changing your mind, that is so horrible, I can't believe anybody would do such a thing. And to think, they even had the heart to explain it all and to let them know as soon as they could. Wow, that is horrible!!! I hope nobody ever backs out on a sale and explains why to me, that would be heartbreaking!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for pointing out a couple things:

1. You were going to be sending the money for the exhaust as you mentioned, but then started a thread to make sure it would fit your car. Unfortunately it didnt so you couldnt take it. No big deal. However as I mentioned in the initial post you said you were buying it, you were getting the money and then you stopped replying. You should have verified fitment prior to inquiring. This is why the p/n was listed in the ad.

2. If I over reacted a bit I would be cussing you out on the boards. Unfortunately it is the other way around. Therefore we know you over react and you are also very immature.

If you recall in my last message to you all I requested was a bit of common courtesy. All you had to do was send me a message and say sorry man it's not going to fit, so I cant buy it now. Instead you just stopped communicating. Please refer back to the last five words in item "2" above.

So what about the free cat back exhaust you got from someone? Looking at the thread it appears that you are in need of some muffler fitment help. If you got a free cat back exhaust that was going to fit the car perfectly you would not need help, it would bolt on.

Best of luck with your car as I see it is up for sale. I hope you are able to get your asking price for it. Seems like a fairly decent car.

Man you're killing me, you are too good at this. You seem to good at the insults but yet you're nice about it. I need to learn this. It is very effective. You **** me off, then you make me glad, it is a roller coaster. I give you props. Must be an engineering thing. I think we both get where we are both coming from, and I feel it is pointless for us to keep arguing about it, bc it will never end. Obviously we are both very stubborn, maybe because we are engineers, who knows. The reason the exhaust my cousin gave me isnt fitting well is bc the piping was messed up, it is really frustrating. But yeah, I do need to sell the car. I just don't have time or money to work on it. I shouldn't have bought the car with the amount of money I had. Loans are killing me. oops

And yes I do have a temper and I am immature at times, it is just difficult to handle it sometimes when I think I am being made out to look like a fool. It is a problem with mine, but I am working on it
