Hello Everyone,
I just fell victim to a terrible scam. Feel like a complete idiot, really should have paid more attention to the red flags. Anyway, was buying a rear end from V8 Rumble, and we PMd once or twice. After that I never heard back from him. About a month later I got an email asking If I was still interested, and after a long chain of mails I ended up sending a $600 money gram to Florida. I realize now that this person was not V8 Rumble, but a scammer. I have been waiting for 5 days for him to "ship it out in a day or two". Please, don't be a gullible moron like me, I really should have seen it coming and been more careful. Anybody else had a similar experience? I hope this helps someone. I just took a devastating hit. $600 is a lot of money. If it helps, the scammers email address is chuck10577@hotmail.com.

Thank you, but unfortunately I sent cash through money gram. From now on I guess I will only do PayPal.

Scammers are definitely in the forum- I had someone send me a PM on here about a week ago about a wanted ad I placed for a cam. Exchanged a few emails and the guy said he could only do Moneygram as his PayPal was "dormant".
Needless to say I only do PayPal but I'm assuming this was a scam in the works. Email was: chuck10577@hotmail.com

 

thats the same email that the OP posted. the same exact guy. I had one guy try to rip me off on a rear end. wanted $1600 for a factory ten bolt that would be built with better components. no way in hell I'd take the risk since its still a weak ten bolt housing

 

Yes, armybrd, that's excatly what he said to me. PayPal was "dormant". And yes that's the same exact email!! Difference is, you had a brain. From now on, PayPal only for me. Thanks so much for sharing that info we may be closer yet to taking him down.
