believe it or not i got it on ebay..the guy was listing just the motor so i called him and he basically had everything..i made him an offer and went down and got it..(somewhere in missouri by lake of the ozarks)turned out he hosed me on the short block #3 had a big ol hole blown in it...that turned it into a real project as i didnt trust anything he gave me then so i rebuilt everthing..total project cost me about 6 grand and me and a buddy did all the work..went on for about 6 months..really wasnt that hard as i had all the nessasary brackets thankfully..i had to track down a few parts but most were found within a reasanable amout of time..
Dan

ps i have more pics if anyone want them,i dont want to resize them all so they fit on the site

thanks, i havent been on this site in a while..nice to see a convertible section alot of nice cars in this section

yes its an automatic but the tta used a 2004r like the gn's and thats what i have in it..the crossmember is awsome..looks like a boomarang...

going to the track in a few weeks..expecting a mid 13 already lined up with my buddys 67 impala thats ran 13.5 and we were very even and i was only at 3/4 or so and nowhere near full boost..very weird car to drive you sink into the seat but can barely hear the car..just the sound of the turbo spinnin

i didnt have any real issues with the wiring..the guy i got the harness from hacked it up a little but i was able to straighten it all out..stock boost gauge says about 20 at wot..not sure i believe it .. motor is basically stock, just rebuilt,i do have a atr 2.5 downpipe and crossover on it..runs well pulls hard..looking forward to seeing some numbers from it..got any pics of your ride? id love to see them.

have pics but i don't know how to post um up. i would get a scanmaster for it if you don't have one befor you start really getting on it. you want to make sure you don't have any knock. i forget what the stock boost was i think it was aroung 15 or so. i have mine set at 19 only because i don't want to hurt it right know i changed some stuff so i have to get another chip burned for me. but with the stock motor with a bigger turbo and only 19 lbs of boost i went 12.8 114 with a 2.4 60' i put an alky kit in it also but again i have to wait for the chip. the only thing that sucks is the brakes the gn's had powermaster brakes which were alot better for holding the car to build boost. that explains the 60' my car starts to creep at only 10lbs of vacume. that is on slicks too.

scanmaster is definatly in my very near plans..i have the 1le brakes from the tta so hopefully that will do the job in the stopping department..if you ever figure out your pics send em my way id like to see them..

Convertible AND a TTA motor? I am speechless. Best of both worlds! Go fast and look cool doing it

Very nice work, it looks excellent. I am interested to see the numbers it makes. Please post them whenever you find out.
