I would like to see how the rear shoulder retractor attaches to the tonneau cover on pre 92 verts. When I was in the market for a car, I thought that only 92's had rear shoulder restraints. Someone later informed me that other cars had them but they had to manually clipped to the lap belt.

Something else that I am interested in is the braceing that ASC did to the cars. I am familar with the ASC 'sfc'/floorpan brace that is under the car. I also saw the brace that is located on the rear seat floorpan when I had the carpet up in my car. If anyone has pictures of any other braces I would like to see them. I've read articles mentioning braces in the front quarter pannel.

Thanks
Chris

I'd like a pic of how the B-pillar cap/seatbelt trim piece is attached to whatever it attaches to. When I bought my car these pieces were missing, and now that I have a good set, I want to know how they go on the car.

Chris,

I have a '91 so I am not sure if I will have a pic that will be meaningful to you. In anny case, attached is the top, rear shoulder harness and buckle. It is a whacky system with the lap belt not having a retractor (you pull it tight) and you have to fit the shoulder belt into a slot prior to latching it to the buckle.

Concerning the SFC's, my undercarriage is pictured in this thread. Not sure how much that will help either. It's fun taking pics of the car though.

That would be it! Thanks a million! Post up when you are about to head out this way. First round is on me. The New Holland brewing company in Holland makes some good stuff!

Thanks Cadillac,

The rear seatbelt shoulder retractor is exactly what I was looking for. I was just curious what it looked like. The design on my '92 is pretty nice. Its got a retractor for the lap belt as well as the shoulder belt. And you probably know that they moved the retractor off of the tonneau and mounted it on the 'floor' of the car. I guess the tonneau is strong enough to support the retractor.???

As far as the ASC braceing is concerned, I'm not looking for pics of the ASC brace that is under the car. I was just curious if some one had pictures of the cowl braceing that was mentioned in the article that someone posted this week of the 'new' '87 camaro convertible. It looks like you get on the site only on the weekends and you might have missed it.

DJCobol,
I believe there are a total of 5 screws that hold the cap on. You can see three of them in the pic.
I would get you pics of where the other two go but I just put the top up and washed the car. I also put the car cover on so I can wax it tomorrow.
I will try and describe them. One is located in the door jam area. It goes through the weather stripping. The other one is located in the middle of the cap. It points toward the exterior of the car with the head pointing inboard. On mine it was hidden under a piece of velcro.

I hope this helps and thanks

Chris

Yes you, slight hijack, but kinda on topic
Cadillac, what about a pic from the inside of your car facing back, with the top closed?

Here is where I have some 'web site' space with my isp. I've been playing with it. If you have a specific pic or two you want to see let me know. I may already have it.
