When reading posts I find myself clicking the vGarage link to see what the authors ride is. Its somewhat like seeing what the guy's reference point is.
While the quality they let you upload is poor, I suggest we all do it. Frankly put, I like seeing 3rd gen verts.

Re: vGarage pics
I don't think ANYBODY does. I have yet to see a member's car in there, not to mention, I see nothing on TGO about what it is, how to use it, nor ANY mention of it.

Re: vGarage pics
My day is complete, I have learned something.
I have to admit there were many times I would read something and want to see what they had, now I know how. Thank you.

While my vehicle isn't a vert, my vbGarage is loaded.., and I've always kept a link to it in my signature. Clicking my sig pic will also get you to my vbGarage.

Re: vGarage pics
I find keeping my Photobucket will be easier.
No restriction on file size....
No restriction of a tiny # of pics....
My Photobucket holds all I have right now plus more room, including videos.

Re: vGarage pics
I went to control panel, but didn't see how I could edit...didn't see anything clickable in garage either. Would like to put mine on...let people see a car that's not ready for the concourse yet. :-)

Re: vGarage pics
Click "User CP" at the top of any page; far left next to "home"
On the left, under "settings & options" click edit vBGarage.
Near the bottom it says "upload pictures"; to the right - click on file and a window will open showing the files on your pc. Find which file you want to upload, click on it, press "open".
That window will close. Press submit at the bottom of the page.
Good luck.

Re: vGarage pics
The vBGarage is a plugin that was installed nearly 2 years ago. The plugin was developed and written by people outside of our community. It's used on other vBulletin based forums. I believe it is out of date as the developers/writers apparently lost track of the project.
ThirdGen.org used to have a Members Rides section. Unfortunately, when a hard drive crashed years ago on the TGO server, Dirk lost the program and it was never fixed. The vBGarage was installed, by a staff member no longer with TGO, as an attempt to replace the Members Rides. Unfortunately, even though it was newer than TGO's Members Rides section - which was written by Brad (one of TGO's original founders), the vBGarage falls short of the Members Rides we once had.
For what it's worth, there has been instructions on the vBGarage section, which was posted nearly 2 years:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/prob...tructions.html
It was also announced on the home page nearly 2 years ago when it was released.
Hopefully the developers/writers of the vBGarage will continue to develop the product, or hopefully something better will come along that might be more equal to what TGO used to have (Members Rides section).
So it's there, and despite what some might think, you can clearly see that the system is used daily. Each time an entry is updated or entered, the submission is bumped to the top and tagged with a date. You can go though the past pages to see that the vBGarage is used nearly ever single day (members update their submission or create a submission). There is roughly over 3,000 entries by members to date (not all contain pictures - that's up to the members).

Member of the garage family since 07-18-2006. Gotta admit I don't think of looking at them very often. This topic's a good reminder.
Maybe time to add some new pics.

Re: vGarage pics
thanks Gator...coming along. Just got it back with the T-5 swap, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, wonder bar, headers and aluminum driveshaft. It is soooo fun to drive. Restored the header trim at the top of the windshield. Came out great, was 3 pieces with 2 pieces missing. Bought another broker trim piece to do a tech article with. Lots of body work to do...no rust, just lots of dents/dings, etc. not so obvious in the pics.

I just made mine. Not bad for being integrated into the form but I agree it does need to be updated. Till then cardomain is the best I have seen.

Re: vBGarage pics
I bought my 88 from Jeff. Great guy, great collector. He's got a nose for them. I don't know how he comes up with the primo cars he does. He helped me alot getting started in this. Still helps me.
