hey i got a 89 iroc vert and i'm trying to find new bulbs for the 3rd brake light. i did a search and nothing really helped. I went to radio shack and they did not have anything that would work. also trying another radio shack type store in the area and they had a halogen bulb that was 10watts that might work, but 50watts of brake lights seems alittle to much. i don't need to be melting the lens. i read that the bulbs could be found at radio shack before, so if anyone as a part number or any kind of info to help out that would be just great. thanks

 

the radio shack bulbs work, but you need to trim the legs for them to clear the lens

be nice to figure out a way to convert it over to LED....

 

well i went back to radio shack and they don't have anything that will work, i was at all three stores no my town with no luck. any ideas?

IIRC, it was in a gray box of drawers with a bunch of other misc eletrical stuff.

Autozone carries the bulb. bulb number 891. $8.00 a piece.

yep, had to replace all 5 of mine (at about $9 a piece for mine though). between Advance Auto Parts and OReily i found enough to replace them. i'll go LED next time around though.
