got any pics? how does it work on the car being steel? the factory air dam is made of plastic so when u scrape it, it flexes. Im just curious how a metal one works out.Originally posted by gearheadz

i made one out of aluminum for my camaro i had, it bends back real easy if u tap a curb.
i wouldnt mind seeing a pic though.

price is about 35$
note you would have to do some curb jumping to damage this thing,I work in a metal fab shop and when i tightend the new airdamn in it straightend out my lower core support,which was cool

what about when you park in a parking space and the nose goes over the edge but the airdam gets tapped? can it stop the car?Originally posted by gearheadz

i would think that a setup with springs to hold it still would be better.

I scrape mine quite often...the first bump I hit with a metal one would bend it back. Bent back it won't function. Spring loaded it will have to be tight enough to stay straight at interstate speeds--tight enough a scrape would still hurt it. But hey, that's around here where the roads are poor. 2 lane no shoulders.
