Normal Temp for a 350?

I was wondering what normal operating temp is for a 350 4bbl?

My gauge gets to a little above 220, then will go down a little below 220 and it will flucuate in between those 2. It seems fine, but i am not sure...

thanks

crusing down the hwy.. it should be near the thermostat setting...

sitting in traffic, expect it to hover around 220.

*edit: i THINK your stock thermostat is 190 or 195.... so its pretty close to 220 to start with....

For all around driving in Climates with various seasons the 180 deg one works best for me.

Well i have a update... now lately, it has been getting up to 240+ and staying there this is cruising down the hwy at 70+, and if i crank the heat, open all the vents, it will go down to around 220. Seems to be progressivly getting worse. Possibly thermostat stuck shut? Or could it be anything else? I plan on replacing it, but i want to make sure that is all.

thanks guys...

Try replacing the thermostat with a new one, not that expensive or hard to do. Just stay away from the 160 deg ones.
