What size radiator should I use?
I am looking at getting a griffin sportsman 31"x19" radiator. Would this be a good choice for a radiator? WIll this support 450hp?

You could probably get away with a stock dimension Aluminum radiator like Modine or Girffin as you mentioned. As long as the rest of the cooling system is up to par it should cool just fine.

as of now it runs about 215* on a pretty warm day which is around 90* but I am trying to get my water temp to come down to under 200* for fear of warping my aluminum heads.

Just a note: If your temp sensor attached to the gauge in the car is near your headers you can count on a 20 degree plus false reading to the gauge. So minus 20 from the reading your getting. Before I swapped to griffin, I had a three core rad with a stock water pump and it cooled fine for my 406.

Right now summit has them for 179 bucks. But only for a few more days. You will have to make a few mods with it as it is a little tall for the stock supports. Check out this thread for details.https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=247826

That brings up a good point: Wouldn't it be wise to relocate the gauge temp sending unit to the radiator, assuming a threaded provision is available? my stock 91 Camaro radiator has a plug which could probably be used.

It WOULD be neat to have an additional temp sensor in the radiator (in my opinion), I just wouldn't move the primary sensor there.
